Buttock augmentation with implants
- An incision is made either
- where the cheek meets back of the thigh or
- down the buttock crease
- The buttocks tissue and skin are lifted to create a pocket either directly under the gluteus maximus muscle, or on top of it.
- The implants are placed above the sitting area of the buttocks to prevent sitting on them and to reduce the possibility of the implants shifting.
- The procedure is repeated for the other cheek after which the doctor affirms the symmetry and appearance of the buttocks.
- Finally the incisions are sutured, and a bandage is placed that provides compression to the buttocks which in turn helps reduce discomfort and swelling.
The surgery usually takes 2-3 hours to complete
Buttock augmentation with fat injections
- The buttock is first contoured by performing liposuction in the areas around the buttocks to make them stand out more. Common areas suctioned include the back- directly above the butt, the waist, and the thighs.
- The fat suctioned from these areas is carefully processed in a special centrifuge and then injected into the areas of the buttock needing augmentation using special cannulas and placed in different areas at different depths to give a uniform, smooth, natural appearance.
